No, it wasn't too long. I think in terms of how a reader might feel. Some people's blogs have very long stories on one blog. I don't like reading that much in one session & finding my place where I stopped is a pain. So what happens is I read up to a certain point, then I leave & I don't come back to any of their blogs. A story feels neverending when scrolling down instead of turning page in a real book. It might be different now with jump links if people make a ToC. I want each of our blogs to be a comfortable amount to read so people finish each blog or chapter in one session & feel they want to read more. Your chapter felt long for one chapter & needed to be two chapters. I could have put two chapters in one blog so the TOC reads #5 by CC, #6 by panos, #7 by panos but that feels strange too as we do alternating chapters. So if we do #5 by CC, #6 by panos for this one; Then the next one is #7 by panos, #8 by CC; it preserves the alternating authors. Also this way some blogs will start with you as first author & some blogs will start with me as first author. I like the idea of sharing first-author positions so it feels even (like actors with top billing, lol). Mostly tho I hate long story blogs & I give up reading them soon because they feel too long & I never go back. i want people to read us, feel comfortable, want to keep reading more & most importantly, come back to read more! It's about feeling comfortable reading the whole thing. Chapters are nice stopping points so if someone has to leave, it's easy for them to find the place they stopped. So if our chapters are short like in #1, we might have 4 chapters. If chapters are long, we might have 2 chapters. Chapters might be broken into 2 chapters if they are long & have a natural stopping point like I did with yours. It's more about the reading vibe & alternating chapters between you and me in each blog. I'm concerned with the readers, not just us.
lol, for me too! I did it mostly to have one link in my profile to all my blogs and make it easy for me to find one if I need to correct anything. I bet soon everyone will make one. btw, the blogs autosave while you make one and doesn't usually self-publish like part 3 did very strangely. So, you can use them for storage. For example, Go to Blog, click write blog. Add your Zone profile images. Wait a minute, do not publish. Close the tab. Now go back to the blog area. On the blog's tiny left menu, the fifth icon is a book. That's all your blogs. It shows a draft tab. under the draft tabs are all your unfinished blogs so you can click edit to add to them. As long as you don't publish them, they will go back to the draft tab. There is no save button. You just have to wait a minute or so and close the tab when it's still in the edit mode. It autosaves.
Yeah, lol. It's a very mixed bag. I hope they might prove useful to you. I know you do blogs too. By doing this listing, I can have one link on my profile so people can find my blogs easily by category since BP makes finding older blogs a bit difficult. You might do a listing too. Since you do stories, you might do a listing of their titles and maybe a tagline like they do with the movies? Or if you have certain characters showing up consistently, grouping them by characters. That way as you develop a fanbase, they can find your older stories.
lol, just write what you feel. It's ok. It is 2 chapters.... because I split one, lol. I think it looks good this way. I like ending the one chapter with the Captain throwing he witch overboard after one time of not being skilled enough and Cat going gulp. It's perfect. Makes the reader pause and think Oh NO! Don't you think so too?
Cool! vewry useful as I am getting readuy for an EZ blog. something else though, that is on my mind since yesterday. Was my chapter so much for one blog, even with your own in place? I thing the Red & Brunhilde Rescue blog has the triple number of words?! Or am i wrong?
