Creating 3 scenes in the Story Scenes app
By Cayla Catz
Thank you @Sealine and @To4kawa for your generous tips when I shared my youtube can cats see color video. I made use of your generosity to create my experiment set of 3 scenes with the Story Scenes app with the same character. My “Character Image” was the woman aboard the ship with the dragon robot again. I decided to use the only female character this time in 3 new Story Scenes. My takeaway is I am truly impressed at how consistent the character is. Under settings, I chose 3 scenes; aspect ratio: 3:4 and for the Scene Instructions (Optional) I wrote: Scene 1: the woman is walking down a cybernoir cyberpunk city street with her bangs and long flowing Art Nouveau hair floating in a light wind. She is wearing a sexy black tightfitting catsuit with neon pink accents and a leg holster with a laser gun. Scene 2: she is surfing on a high wave in a bikini with her hair in a ponytail. Scene 3: close-up of the woman playing a glass cyber violin. The purpose of the scenes are: A. scene 1 was hopefully to get a full frontal so I could see her full face and not the slightly turned view of the original and to test another outfit B. scene 2 is to test another action pose C. scene 3 was a closeup on the face. Story scenes app generated 3 scene prompts: Cost for 3 is 150 credits. Under a rain-slick cybernoir skyline, she strides down a neon-lit alley with her Art Nouveau bangs and long flowing hair lifting in a light wind, wearing a sexy black, tight-fitting catsuit with neon pink piping, a thigh holster housing a sleek laser gun, her silhouette lit by flickering holo-signs and steam-soaked street lamps, confident and dangerous. Riding the face of a towering, glass-blue wave at sunset, she carves with athletic grace in a bold turquoise bikini, hair pulled into a high ponytail that streams behind her like a banner, water spray catching golden light as she crouches low on the board, fierce joy and wind in her expression. On the third prompt, I'm sorry I didn't save the prompt for the blog.I didn’t realize the image in assets doesn’t show the prompt so when I deleted the scene to redo the first two prompts, I lost the prompt. I decided to redo the first 2. It felt strange to have her holding a gun and having a gun in her holster on the same side so I tried to adjust the prompt so that she would hold the gun on one side and the holster was on the otherside. Plus I didn’t quite like the catsuit. The surfing scene, I didn’t like the toes. It’s a small detail but I thought I’d rerun it. Plus the wave looked a little too much like glass. You can type directly into the suggested Scene Prompts text areas to make adjustment. My adjusted prompts. Cost for 2 scenes is 100 credits 1b. Under a rain-slick cybernoir skyline, she strides down a neon-lit alley with her Art Nouveau bangs and long flowing hair lifting in a light wind, wearing a sexy black, tight-fitting catsuit with neon pink piping, a left thigh holster housing a sleek laser gun, her right hand holds a second sleek laser gun, her silhouette lit by flickering holo-signs and steam-soaked street lamps, confident and dangerous. 2b. Riding the crest of a towering, glassy blue seawave at sunset, she carves with athletic grace in a bold turquoise bikini, hair pulled into a high ponytail that streams behind her like a banner, water spray catching golden light as she crouches low on the board, fierce joy and wind in her expression. Now she has two guns! But I do like the catsuit better. And I like the surfing image a lot better. Better seawave instead of a glass wave, good pose and great joyful expression. I reran the generate a prompt of the violin scene so I would have a prompt to show you. So this is the new suggested violin prompt. It's a bit different than the original but close. 4. A close-up portrait of her playing a crystalline cyber violin under cool cyan stage lights: delicate fingers dance across translucent strings while her familiar features and ornate hairpiece frame a serene, intense expression, the instrument glowing with circuit-like veins and tiny holographic notes drifting in the air. Cost for one scene generation is 50 credits. So in this next experiment, I tested to see if I can change the scene to an art style. I added this line to the prompt "Romantic watercolor Art Nouveau style. " Romantic watercolor Art Nouveau style. The watercolor style definitely showed on the background and the kimono. Can't really tell on her because anime is colored ink and watercolor is similar. So I tried again with Van Gogh as his style is very distinctive to see if it would keep her character but as if Van Gogh painted her. I added this line: "Impressionistic impasto painting in the style of Van Gogh." Impressionistic impasto painting in the style of Van Gogh. So the answer is no. The impasto had a slight effect on the background but not on the character. That's ok. That's not the apps purpose. I was just curious. I liked what I generated in the Story Scene app. I did succeed in getting a front view with the full face showing and her hair down so that image can be used with other apps like the Outfit Flatlay. I tested another action pose and outfit in the surfing one and it worked while keeping my style and character. I did a close-up view. I tested creating the character in another art style. I really think the Story Scene app will be useful especially if I was creating a graphic novel where I wanted a consistent character throughout the scenes. Or to create an image to generate a 5-sec AI video clip to make a longer film and keep the character consistent throughout all the scenes. You would be able to change backgrounds, clothes, and hair.
