What is the BudgetPixel MCP server?▾
A remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://mcp.budgetpixel.com/mcp that lets AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor create with your BudgetPixel account — directly from the conversation. It exposes tools to generate images (including image-to-image and multi-reference editing), generate videos, generate music, upload local files as inputs, publish posts to the BudgetPixel community, browse the model catalog with prices, check your credit balance, and view your generation history.
Do I need an API key?▾
No. You sign in with your BudgetPixel account (Google SSO) during the connect flow — no keys to create or paste. This is different from the BudgetPixel developer API, which uses API keys and is aimed at building applications.
Which plans include MCP access?▾
The Premium, Pro, and Ultra plans — the same plans that include the developer API. Any account can connect and browse the model catalog, but generation, uploads, and posting require an eligible plan; agents on other plans get a clear upgrade notice.
How is usage billed?▾
Generations through MCP use the same credits as the BudgetPixel studio — your plan's monthly credits, model discounts, and the Pro/Ultra daily free-models allowance (100/300 free generations per day on qualified image models) apply automatically, and failed generations are never charged. Images are priced per image, video per second by resolution, and music per track; publishing a community post costs 10 credits.
Which models can my agent use?▾
The same models exposed through the BudgetPixel API. Images: Seedream, FLUX, GPT Image 2, Nano Banana, Qwen, and more. Video: SeeDance 2.0 and SeeDance 2.0 Mini — text-to-video, image-to-video, reference-images-to-video, and video-to-video editing. Music: Music 2.6, Lyria 3, and Mureka V9 — full songs, exact-lyrics vocals, or instrumentals. The catalog updates automatically as models are added; your agent can list everything with live prices via the list_models tool.
Is video or music generation supported through MCP?▾
Yes — both. Your agent can make videos with SeeDance 2.0 (text, image, reference images, or an input video to edit; priced per second by resolution) and music with Music 2.6, Lyria 3, or Mureka V9 (flat price per track, 60–200 credits). Finished videos and tracks are saved privately to your account and delivered as links in the chat.

Yes — when you ask it to, your agent can publish images, a video, or a track (with cover art, genre, and lyrics) to your public BudgetPixel feed. Posts made this way carry a “via MCP” label for transparency and cost 10 credits each to prevent spam — the same policy as the developer API.
