Fairytale/Folklore Image/Video/Song Challenge (March 20-26, 2026) Everyone is welcome. Would love to see what you make inspired by the fairytale/folklore you like! Do 1 day or everyday! Whatever works for you. Fairytale/folklore definition : I am defining fairytale/folklore as any story that is so old that authorship is forgotten and there is a magical component to the story. The story can be from any country. Fairytale/Folklore Days Friday: A-E Saturday: F-J Sunday: K-O Monday: P-T Tuesday: U-Z Wildcard Wednesdays: Wildcard day, Any fairytale/folklore is ok. Fairytale/folklore title or fairytale/folklore character : You can do any fairytale/folklore story title or fairytale/folklore character that starts with one of the letters of the day. I am dividing the days up by alphabet. Make an image, video or song. Example 1: In the USA folklore stories, Paul Bunyan would be under P (or B). But if you decided to feature Babe, his blue ox, you could put his picture/video/music under B. Example 2 : The fairytale/folklore story's title in the original country's title or in your language. For example, the Japanese story Taketori Monogatari ( 竹取物語 ) is sometimes translated in English as The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter or The Tale of Princess Kaguya. So you could do that story under T (taketori), B (bamboo cutter) or K (Kaguya). Just be sure you show the title that matches the letter you are doing. You don't have to link a YT song : I've wanted to do a fairytale/folklore theme for awhile now but as there may not be many songs in this area, I am not doing a song challenge this time. Challenge Posts: Post your challenge post links in the comments below. This is not a QT so do not notify everybody with every post on your post directly. Since it's a daily challenge, everyone notifying everybody on daily posts would fill up notification pages and some people would feel overwhelmed. Some people who have participated in the past are busy so can not participate everyday and that is ok. Do try to visit other people's posts who are also participating. It's more about sharing than popularity. Rules for Challenge: A. Creative Requirement: Make an image/video/music inspired by a theme of the day in the title or character name. B. Title or character name in the image/video/music is optional. C. Comment Format: Post your post link in the comments below. With each day, I’ll add people in this blog text under the day. So link format should be: For Titles: “Day: country fairytale/folklore is from: title” your post link or if you're doing a Character, add the name after the story title: “Day: country fairytale/folklore is from: title: character name” your post link D. Challenge Community Spirit: Kindly be supportive of each other and visit one or more of your coplayers each day and leave a comment. E. Flexible Posting: Posting an image link a day earlier or later is ok. Given that people have different time zones or are busy, early or late links posted in the comments below are ok until the challenge ends. Be sure to make the challenge day clear so I know where to add you. Note: As this is a daily challenge, and some people feel overwhelmed by QT notifications, do not notify a list of people directly on your post with every post in this challenge. Post your link here and people who have joined will know to check the list when they have time. The challenge is hopefully designed so it's as easy for people who are busy and people who have time to equally be able to participate and shouldn't constantly fill notification pages on the days they don't log in.
