Easy tutorial on creating a BP Blog With a BP blog, you can do all kinds of things: write a tutorial, tell a story, share a large group of images, and a lot more. And it's pretty easy to dol Table of Contents Getting Started Making a Title Adding Text Deleting Text Adding Images, videos, music, and sounds To Add Images by Other BP Friends Moving Images, videos, music, and sounds Erasing Images, videos, music, and sounds Add a Cover Image Add Tags (includes info on seeing current tags, searching current tags) Publish Changing/Editing Your Blog Getting Started Click on "Blog" in the top menu Click on "Write" A new page pops up to make you blog. This is where the magic happens. Making a Title In the new page, at the top, you will see "Untitled" in large bold letters. That is your title space. Click inside the title space and replace "Untitled" with your title. You can edit your title at any time by clicking into the title space again Adding Text click into the body of the blog and start typing. hit return for new paragraphs. Deleting Text highlight what you want to delete click "delete" Adding Images, videos, music, and sounds The blog is made of a series of boxes. To add something into a blog, move your mouse to the far left until a plus sign pops up Click the plus sign Choose the icon of the item you want to add As you can see ther are several different types of things you can add a. Embed a Hyperlink (type or paste in the url) b. Add an Image c. Add a Video d. Add Sound/Music e. Insert a Divider f. Insert a Code Block Choose Assets if it's in your BudgetPixel library. Choose Upload if it is not. Choose your image (or whatever) Click add 1 (or more) image (or whatever) To Add Images by Other BP Friends The friend should paste their image post link into the comments. This also serves to show you have permission to add their image into your post copy the link paste the link into the post. The pasted link will seperate as link, image and text. Erase what you don't want like the extra text. If you don't want to erase the text, you might want to change it to normal text size and take off the bold. Images can't link so keep the url. Type "image by ..." with the post url to give credit to the image maker. Moving Images, videos, music, and sounds If you change your mind about the position of your image or whatever, you can click then drag the image or whatever to the new position. Erasing Images, videos, music, and sounds Cick on the image or whatever. Click "Delete" Add a Cover Image Make a Cover Image. I usually just use one of my images and add text on it. Several models are really good at text now. You can also use Img-to-Img to add several images to integrate them together an then add text. Click on the Cover Image box Choose Upload or Assets Choose your Image Click Apply Add Tags You can add up to 5 Tags. Tags are searchable and one of the few ways people can find an older blog To look at current tags to see what you might use click on "Blog" in the top menu. If you were looking at a blog, you may see a "Back" button at the top left near the blog name, click the "Back" button you should be on the "Trending" page. Scroll down until you see "Topics" You will a bunch of the more popular tags and below that the newer blogs. At the end of the tags, you will see a tag that says "+number more". Click the last "+number more" tag A "Browse All Topics" window will pop up. Here you can: Search for tags Scroll down to see more tags Adding a tag click in the "Tags" box type in your tag. As you type, tags will show that use that word. click on a showing tag to select. The tag will show as a button under Tags with the tag name and the current number of blogs using that tag. For example: "tutorial (12)" to make a new tag, keep typing the full word(s) of your new tag and then click "add" Meta Description I don't use this box. Feel free to do so search engines that still use SEO. Your blogs do appear in Google's search engine. Publish click the "Publish" button at the top right of your blog Changing/Editing Your Blog after you publish, at the top right under the title, there are three dots. click the three dots click Edit When you are done, click Publish
