What this taught me: describing the room gets you a tidy illustration, but naming the tradition and the figure's proportions gets you the picture. My first pass came back as a normal, well-proportioned woman in a nicely lit cafe, nothing wrong with it and nothing like the reference. So I rewrote the woman before touching anything else, oversized heavy-lidded eyes, small mouth, long thin neck, narrow sloping shoulders, spindly body, and called the style lowbrow big-eye gothic pop surrealism with a storybook feel instead of realistic illustration. I also pulled colour forward in the wording rather than leaving it implied, glossy enamel, warm amber pools against deep indigo and violet, reflections on lacquered surfaces, plus the huge arched window with spirals and crescent moons at right and her off-centre at the left. Some versions refused the prompt outright and aren't shown. The reference is linked at the bottom.
