Some media on BudgetPixel is published under CC BY 4.0: free to use and adapt, commercially too — as long as you credit it. Who you credit depends on who made it.

Made and owned by BudgetPixel creators. Most are All Rights Reserved — only the ones whose post shows a licence may be reused, and the credit names the creator.

What you can do
Use it commercially
Client work, monetized videos, ads, decks, apps, games, print — all fine, at no cost.
Adapt and remix it
Crop, recolour, composite, upscale, animate, or use it as a reference for your own work.
Publish it anywhere
Your site, a blog post, social media, a marketplace listing, a printed piece.
Use it without an account
No sign-up, no API key, no download gate. The licence applies whether or not you have an account.
Use it forever
CC BY 4.0 is irrevocable. Once published under it, we cannot take that grant back from you.
What you cannot do
Drop the credit
Attribution is the one condition. Every use needs a visible credit naming the rights holder — the creator for a community post, BudgetPixel for our own example media. See how to credit it below.
Imply we endorse you
You may not suggest BudgetPixel sponsors, endorses or is affiliated with your project, product or views.
Apply extra restrictions
You cannot pass the media on under terms stricter than CC BY, or apply DRM that prevents others exercising the same rights.
Assume every community post is licensed
Most are not. Images published by BudgetPixel users belong to those users and are All Rights Reserved by default — only a post that shows a licence may be reused, and only on that licence’s terms.
How to credit it
A credit near the image, or in a credits list, is enough. Which one you use depends on where the image came from.
A community post
Credit the creator by their username, and BudgetPixel alongside them. The post page shows the exact credit line to use — it looks like this:

Replace username with the creator’s handle, shown under the image. Crediting BudgetPixel alone is not enough — the creator is the rights holder, and naming them is the licence’s actual condition.
Our own example media
The images and videos on model and feature pages. There is no individual creator to name — credit BudgetPixel:

In both cases: if you adapted the media, say so — “adapted from” is enough. A link is appreciated but a plain-text credit is acceptable where linking is not possible, such as in print or on video.
Good to know
Everything here is AI-generated. Both our example media and community posts are produced on BudgetPixel and provided “as is”. You are responsible for checking that your particular use is appropriate — including anything that depicts people, brands or trademarks.
Community posts are owned by their creators. BudgetPixel does not own them and cannot license them to you. They are All Rights Reserved unless the creator chose a licence when publishing, in which case the post itself shows the licence and the exact credit line. A creator cannot change that licence afterwards, so what you see on the post is what applies. Browse them in the community gallery.
Audio has its own licence. Sound effects and background music are covered by the Audio Content License, which is not Creative Commons — it requires no attribution but does not permit redistributing the files on their own.
