The Exclusion Zone: Inside The Reactor. The Monolith

About this image

A post-apocalyptic sci-fi scene shows a line of masked, tactical-survivor characters in rugged gear and gas masks standing in a ruined, rubble-filled interior. A towering, levitating black monolith crackles with blue energy, creating a dramatic, otherworldly atmosphere and suggesting mysterious technology at the heart of the dystopian world.

Well, if it's a wish-granter, I could see why folks would vie for it. But with wishes, best be careful not just what you wish for but how you wish for it. Fae, jinns and a few other entities love to twist the wish upon you so it's not what you wanted

That is absolutely true, Cayla! And that is for entities that DO grant wishes - in whatevever way. In the case of the Monolith, it's only a rumor. ...Well, so is its very existence, but as we see, our friends here confirmed that one....

It' from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series of games. I'm a huge fan, though my personal narrative, shown in these images has many, many elements that are personal. The monolith, though is indeed part of the original game-story

It certaibly is! But everybody in the Zone is looking for it. There is a story it is a wish-granter. There is even a faction of crazed guys that worships it

Reimaging from 2001? Looks great

Yeah, but look! The last two people in line are looking away as if they heard a sound over there. Maybe there are other incoming seekers coming.... or....

Cool. I'm not a gamer so had no idea of the inspiration
