This dark surreal fantasy artwork centers on an intricately engraved brass hourglass, its cracked glass leaking golden sand that transforms into cascading floating gothic castles. Swirling nebula clouds in deep purple, indigo, and gilded gold frame the hourglass, dotted with faint starlight and wreathed in shadowy cosmic entities. The mood is hauntingly magical, exploring themes of time, decay, and lost kingdoms with rich painterly, detailed brushwork.

This surrealist oil painting features a large wooden-rimmed hourglass, its upper glass cracked as golden sand flows steadily down onto a small detailed city skyline in the lower bulb. The background is a dreamy deep space expanse of swirling purple and navy nebulas dotted with faint stars, exploring themes of time, urban impermanence, and cosmic scale. The mood is meditative and thought-provoking, rendered with rich painterly brushwork and moody, atmospheric color tones.
