Two young fisher girls sit on a sunlit cobblestone quay, one mending fishing nets beside a stone wall
Two young fisher girls sit against a stone harbour wall, one mending nets as the other looks toward the viewer
Prompt: Winslow Homer + John Singer Sargent + watercolour on warm cream wove paper, where Homer's transparent layered washes create luminous lights by reserving bare paper and lifting out pigment, with detail spent only where value contrast peaks, and Sargent's wet-into-wet handling produces soft blooming transitions and blotted mottling via fluid broad strokes, and the cream paper tone infuses a mellow underglow through every thin wash. The fusion manifests as a restricted ochre, burnt sienna, ultramarine and vermilion palette, crisp dark accents, and granulating washes, transforming any subject through economical handling. Two fisher girls, one in an ochre bodice and orange-yellow skirt with a blue cloth over her lap and a band around her head, the other in a dark blue dress, both in worn work shoes Wide full shot at eye level, the two women seated side by side, the nearer one upright on a low stool with one arm raised toward her shoulder, the farther one leaning forward over the net she mends, the draped net and a hanging straw hat receding at the right against a plain open background Scene set on a cobbled quay beside a stone wall during the day, with quiet open air, featuring a low green stool, scattered cord and floats on the ground, a draped fishing net and a straw hat hung on the wallMade with Nano Banana 2 LiteUse this prompt

Two young fisher girls sit on a sunlit cobblestone quay

I wanted two fisher girls on a quay with the light coming off bare paper, the way Homer leaves the cream showing and Sargent lets the edges bleed. So the prompt asks for ochre and burnt sienna washes, crisp darks only where the value turns, and the mended net going soft in the middle. I ran it wide to see which models could hold those reserved lights instead of filling them in. The reference is linked at the bottom if you want to compare. About this image

This delicate vintage watercolor painting depicts two young women from a coastal fishing village resting on a sun-warmed stone dock. Soft golden daylight illuminates their earthy warm clothing, weathered fishing gear, and a hazy distant sea dotted with small sailboats. The quiet calm scene evokes traditional 19th century maritime rural life, with soft textured brushwork and a gentle muted color palette.

This warm realist watercolor depicts 19th century coastal fisherwomen performing daily work mending fishing nets on a cobblestone harbour. Earthy muted tones of golden ochre, slate blue, and weathered beige set a quiet, nostalgic mood, with scattered rope, net floats, and a hanging straw hat adding authentic period maritime detail. The scene captures the quiet dignity of working fishing community life in a classic fine art style.

This expressive vintage watercolor depicts two 19th century fisherwomen resting and repairing fishing nets on a sun-warmed cobblestone harbor pier. Soft earthy tones of burnt ochre, deep navy, and weathered stone brown lend a quiet, nostalgic atmosphere to the scene of everyday coastal working life. Hanging nets, a mounted straw hat, and scattered twine spools add immersive period detail to the gentle genre scene.

interesting how divergent they are. I like #5 best but none of them feels close to your sample pic although they all are the same subject matter

All good, but I find the Muse version particularly charming.
