Towering mythological goddess Nüwa

About this image

This sweeping epic fantasy illustration depicts the classic Chinese myth of Nüwa mending the sky, showing the graceful silk-robed goddess lifting an iridescent multicolored stone to seal a fractured, gem-encrusted rift in the storm-wracked sky. The dramatic scene features crackling lightning, golden sunbeams cutting through cloud cover, misty floating karst mountains, cascading waterfalls, and awestruck ancient human and beast onlookers reaching upward in reverence, with vivid contrasting warm and cool tones creating an awe-inspiring, mythic atmosphere.
