Richard Dean Anderson as MacGyver crouches

About this image

This iconic 1980s television promotional still shows actor Richard Dean Anderson as MacGyver, crouched on a sunlit rocky mountain overlook surrounded by field tools, climbing gear, and equipment cases. A black helicopter sits behind him, with a sweeping scenic view of a blue river, mountain ranges, and valley bridges stretching out under a bright partly cloudy sky. The warm earthy tones of his worn brown leather jacket match the rugged, resourceful, adventurous tone of the classic action series.
