Tea with Alice and the Cheshire Cat Special Guest Star: Urbano Monte The mapmaker Urbano Monte was an intensely detail-oriented, highly curious, and non-conformist gentleman scholar who valued intellectual freedom over political power. He spent roughly 20 years of his life trying to research and synthesize global geography, history, foreign cultures and cosmology. Even after he created a map, he would constantly update it whenever new information came back as he lived in a time of exploration. The 1587 Planisphere by Urbano Monte is a massive 10-foot Renaissance masterpiece. It utilizes an innovative polar projection to map the globe, filling unknown lands with hundreds of vivid monsters. The Siberia section had drawings of unicorns and griffins.

About this image
This whimsical steampunk fantasy webcomic "Trippy Tuesdays" by artist Gayla Catz depicts a cozy tea party conversation between Alice, a dapper teal Cheshire Cat in a top hat, and a bearded Victorian geographer exploring a fantastical antique map of Siberia. Rich vintage-style panels feature mythical creatures including griffins and unicorns, brass steampunk survey tools, globes, and telescopes, with warm and jewel-toned coloring and playful dialogue celebrating curiosity and the wonder of exploration. The warm, adventurous tone makes this piece ideal for fans of Alice in Wonderland reimaginings, fantasy illustration, and steampunk creative work.

😃*Remeber... there are people ALREADY travelling in siberai, looking for a lady (and not only for her) Who knows what they will encounter? 😉
@legion ·
Well, they're from the Himalayas, but if they can handle those conditions, I suppose they could be there.
just checked. They do have domestic herds of yak, but no wild ones any more.
Yeah, I don't much about it either. Don't they have yaks up there?
@legion ·
The only things I know about Siberia are Tunguska and the Gulags.
well if they come across unicorns, I'm on my way!
