QT: Prompt this - @NielsCarlsen - https://budgetpixel.com/p/51381 --- I used a blend of Gemini and my own ideas to try and create something similar to the exceptional original by Niels. Limited success, 1000+ credits burned, lots of fun trying

About this image

This surreal dark art fragmented portrait explores themes of fractured identity and multiplicity, splitting a woman’s face across four vertical painted panels with moody, textured

This striking modern surrealist artwork features a four-panel composition of fragmented women’s faces, blending geometric abstraction and paint drip techniques for a moody, contemporary aesthetic. The piece uses a bold, luxurious color palette of hot pink, metallic gold, charcoal gray, and stark black, with half the faces bearing hollow black eyes and two showcasing vivid, lifelike irises that anchor the surreal composition, ideal for modern interior design or contemporary fine art collections.

This haunting avant-garde surreal digital portrait features a woman’s face split into four vertical fragmented panels, each adorned with bold, cascading dripping paint to explore themes of fractured identity. The panels contrast vivid neon pink, moody black, luminous metallic gold, and matte dark grey bases, with only two piercing human-like eyes cutting through the dramatic black background to create an eerie, captivating mood. This pop-surrealist artwork blends street art-inspired paint drips with fine portraiture, appealing to collectors of contemporary dark surrealism and modern digital art.

Thanks. As you said to @CaylaCatz on yours, the idea was to replicate the original. And while I quite like all of these in their own right, none fully replicate all the elements of the original, which is quite amazing

  • @DavidP ·

And I just re-read again - quite significant work in photoshop. Which is fine, set us a great challenge to try and get close just prompting

  • @DavidP ·

tvm. It was a challenge, lots of Gemini assistance. But still nothing quite matches Niels original

tvm, though not a patch on the original

i did the same thing - but i did it in GPT 2 Low, and as i stil have a pro account on another site (until october), and gpt 2 low is free ... i ran 30 or so prompts over there. Then took the one i liked best and ran it a few dozen more times over here. Yours turned out wicked cool.

Yes! Photoshop can achieve very interesting things if you know how to use it. But all the versions I've seen are very good, and looking for changes and creativity... that's the beauty of QTs

  • @DavidP ·

I was happy with the results and enjoyed the exercise. Such sophisticated results with photoshop (or GIMP in my case) is beyond my current skill level. So I re-generate and try img2img for corrections

  • @charlypalermo ·

Wow! Excellent, David! I like them all. If I had to choose, it would be really hard, but maybe I'd go with 3, 4, or 5, but all 6 are fantastic. Incredible work!

  • @Sealine ·

Yeah. I did read that he photoshopped. Attempted one so far but as a man and woman. Got a great image but nothing like what he posted.
