No Place Like Ruin D for "Dorothy" from Wizard of Oz (Not Submitted) She had followed the road once before, hopeful, afraid, believing in something better at the end. Now the road followed her. Each step split the earth, red light spilling through the cracks like something trying to escape – or something finally set free. The Emerald City still stood, but it no longer called to her.
