Prompt: "corybantic dancers" corybantic means wild, frenzied, agitated, or unrestrained sometimes using a very vivid or strong adjective with a noun that includes a verb like dancer, fighter, etc, can result in good poses. I did these in February 2026. What surprised me abou the 2-word prompt wasn't just the different art styles but also the dancing from different cultures that resulted. These are older models and some are still around. I plan to do the same prompt in the latest models as soon as I clear some storage space so I can make new pics. I'm curious to see if I get different cultures again. 1. GPT 1.5 low 2. SeeDream 4 3. Grok 1 4. Wan 2.6 5. Z-image Turbo 6. Nano Banana 1

About this image

This dramatic old master style painting depicts a lively ancient Greek bacchanal, with ecstatic dancing maenads leading a wild ritual celebration around a warm campfire. Flowing translucent gowns, rich earthy and golden tones, and misty distant classical columns and statues create a dynamic, festive mood. Romantic baroque brushwork emphasizes the movement of the dancers, surrounded by satyrs, cherubs, and other revelers under a hazy sunset sky.

Energetic Bollywood dance ensemble leaps mid-choreography on a warmly lit professional theater stage. Swirling bright multicolored embroidered traditional costumes create soft motion blur, conveying a joyful high-energy celebratory mood. The dynamic low-angle shot highlights the synchronized exuberant performance under dramatic spotlights.

This cinematic historical illustration depicts a joyous Dionysian festival celebration in an ancient Greek olive grove, with weathered stone temple ruins glowing in warm golden hour sunlight. Participants wear flowing white, red, and ochre tunics and leafy laurel wreaths, playing handheld tambourines as they run, cheer, and kick up dust from the dirt path. The mood is exuberant and festive, rendered in rich realistic detail that brings ancient Hellenistic ritual to vivid life.

In greek mythology, Korybantes were, indeed, dancers, spawned from earth, they were disciples of goddess Rhea or Cibeles, in some myth take care of the child Zeus or the child Dionysus

Yeah, the word originated from Ancient Greek but now means wild, frenzied. I didn't think some of the dances shown felt that wild to me. Although some did. About 1/3 were wild. I didn't show a few.

Was the prompt literally just the 2 words? I wonder how much the home nation of the model influences the subject?

  • @panos ·

Great theme out of ancient greece. Som model recognised it as such.

  • @CaylaCatz ·

Yes, it was just the two words. That's a good question about the home nation of the model. I expect it might influence the training as to what images and art they tend to access.

  • @panos ·

I guess it is not a commonly used term. Guys like Lovecraft, Cladck Ashton Smith and Stephen Donaldson woud use it. (Making readers scratch their heads 🙂)

I knew there were wild dancers associated with Dionysus but I thought they were Maenads? I didn't know about the Rhea/Cibles dancers or their names.

Will be interested to see the next set, if there is similar variations
