About this image
This rich pre-raphaelite style painting shows a red-haired Celtic sorceress in an embroidered emerald gown, holding a gnarled crystal staff in a mossy abandoned forest sanctuary. Soft dappled light filters through ancient gnarled trees, wrapping the scene in a serene, mystical mood, with a sacred white stag standing watch in the misty stone archway. Weathered classical statuary, wild white blooms, and a trickling stone spring add to the enchanted, timeless atmosphere.
