Clover and the Courageous Peep's Adventure
By Pocahontas
I haven't forgotten about Clover and the Courageous Peep's adventure—I'm still working hard on it! In the meantime, here are a few bonus scenes to tide you over before the next chapter drops. Hope you enjoy! Clover and Peep had never seen anything quite like it. Perched side-by-side, their eyes were glued to the glowing screen of the television set through the farmhouse window. Inside, the farmer sat in his favorite armchair, completely unaware of his tiny audience. The two friends watched in absolute awe as vibrant colors danced across the glass, casting a soft, flickering light over their faces. To them, it wasn't just a box—it was a window into a completely different world, and they couldn't look away. Peep stands bravely in front of his friend Clover, a terrified calf. Even though Peep is tiny, he stands up to a big, intimidating bull to protect his friend from being bullied. Above them, the sky was a vast, velvet canvas stretched from horizon to horizon, dusted with an infinite scatter of brilliant, twinkling stars. Constellations traced ancient patterns across the void, casting a soft, silver glow over the earth below. They looked up together, the silence between them comfortable and filled with an unspoken understanding. In that quiet moment, watching the distant lights flicker against the deep expanse of space, a profound sense of certainty settled over both of them. It wasn't a realization born of sudden words, but rather a deep, grounding knowledge that had grown quietly over time: they were family. It didn't matter what challenges lay ahead or how the world changed around them; they knew, with absolute clarity, that their bonds were unbreakable. As the stars kept watch overhead, they shared the silent assurance that they would always belong together, moving forward side by side. Peep and Clover love to swim together. The night is quiet in the barn, lit only by the warm, amber glow of a hanging lantern. Tucked away safely in a bed of fresh straw, Clover the calf sleeps soundly, his breathing slow and steady. Curled up tightly against his side is Peep. Even though he has found comfort, safety, and a true family in Clover, a wave of sadness washes over the little duckling tonight. A single tear rolls down his cheek as his mind wanders back to the adoptive mother duck. In his thoughts, he sees her clearly—standing proudly by the sunny riverbank where they used to walk together. Peep closes his eyes, leaning closer into Clover's warm fur, wishing with all his heart that he could see his adopted mother just one more time.
