Surrealist painting of a hybrid hand and eye form rising

About this image

This eerie surrealist oil painting depicts an uncanny hybrid central form rising from calm turquoise water, merging a stacked curled human hand, a visible upper brown human eye, and a second submerged eye below the water line. Set between two gnarled, twisted barren trees under a soft hazy muted beige sky, the dreamlike artwork uses a palette of warm earthy browns, pale cool skin tones, and rich teal water to create a disorienting, contemplative mood. The work evokes classic mid-century surrealist styles, exploring themes of perception, the subconscious, and human consciousness.
