Didn't ride but did get a kiss. It was in a park but the elephants were trained. They'd used them in anti-poaching/game ranger activities until they got banned. Forget the details but recall thinking it was short-sighted. We did see many in the wild up close as well.

They got banned? That's too bad. I would think antipoaching activities to train rangers is a good thing. I think the elephants would be all for it too. Hopefully they did not release the elephants into the wild because now they're friendly with humans and that would be dangerous for them with poachers out there. It's very cool you got to get up close and personal with them. I envy you.
