About this image

This dark whimsical steampunk comic page from the "Freaky Fridays" webcomic series depicts a literary crossover tea party with Alice from Alice in Wonderland, the grinning Cheshire Cat, and Edgar Allan Poe chatting in a moody gothic Victorian Wonderland setting. Rich deep purple, antique brass, and warm shadowed tones highlight intricate steampunk character designs, playful existential banter, and meta references to Poe's raven and the Mad Hatter's riddles. The lighthearted spooky comic closes with a cozy signoff leaning into the series' quirky, macabre humor.

The vertical does make it look like a comic book but I feel like the 16:9 doesn't look so busy with -9 panels. Also with the vertical, some panels is just one person. Although that means no mistake on where the bubbles are apointing when you have just one person so that can be a good thing

Cool! No matter how hard you try to make E.A. Poe laugh, you won't succeed! BTW, I think this vertical format is more suitable for AI comics that the horizontal one 😎

  • @CaylaCatz ·

laughing, I think they like teasing Poe. That's why they invite him over. I'm trying to figure out why he keeps accepting their invitations, lol

  • @CaylaCatz ·

thank you! I do too but I don't think I'll be inviting him to tea at my house any time soon. He seems a tad morose.

  • @antares ·

Yes, I think the problem with AI-generated horizontal 16:9 layouts is that it often arranges the panels in three rows, flattening them significantly.

  • @CaylaCatz ·

Maybe it depends on the model? GPT2 medium (60 creds) usually give sme 2 rows which works for me. Sometimes 3 but usually 2.

  • @CaylaCatz ·

laughing, that explains a lot. We should invite the Red Queen to meet him. I think they would enjoy each other's company

  • @CaylaCatz ·

Virginia would not have liked that. It's tough that he lost his real wife so young

  • @JMN ·

Spoiler: Poe is a masochist; he morbidly enjoys their surreal mental equations.

Hahaha, poor guy; he's just sad about Lenore.
