Catwalk: walking in Cattle Point, Oak Bay, British Columbia, Canada watching the Southern Taurid Meteor Shower on Wednesday (This meteor shower is actually happening on 11/4 & 11/5) where would you like to walk tomorrow? Cattle Point is a preserve that people can visit that is purposely kept dark at night so stars are more visible. Google says: Cattle Point is an accessible, designated urban dark-sky preserve that is highly popular with local astrophotographers. It has The Urban Star Park Status. An Urban Star Park is a specialized designation given to municipal parks or open spaces that sit right on the edge of urban environments. Local municipalities strictly control and shield artificial lighting in and around the park to eliminate immediate ground-level light pollution. This allows city-dwelling photographers to experience high-contrast dark skies without a multi-hour drive

About this image

Whimsical fantasy digital art features a cute fluffy white cat wearing a cozy pink sweater, beanie and jeans standing on a mossy rocky ocean shore at night. Bright glowing orange and green meteor streaks cut across a dark star-filled sky above a lit cliffside lighthouse, with crashing tide waves reflecting warm celestial light. The mood is cozy, magical and wonder-filled, blending cozy cottagecore character design with dramatic coastal night landscape scenery.

Wow!!! It is GREAT that there is such a place! We wwatch the meteor showers at lete july - early august (the Perseids?) since we are at the village and there is minimal light-pollution. (Has Kitty walked in Ayer's Rock in Australia? Or I am forgetful - again)

I don't think Kitty has walked there. We will go there tomorrow!
