Terrified steam train engineer watches a giant red dragon steal…

About this image

This cinematic dark fantasy illustration captures a chaotic, action-packed scene where a disheveled, horrified steam train engineer looks on as a giant red winged dragon raids his treasure train mid-journey. The vintage iron steam locomotive crosses a towering stone viaduct over a mountain gorge at sunset, as the dragon clutches a chained wooden treasure chest, sending gold coins spilling from the smashed cargo car while sparks and smoke billow from the damaged train. Gritty, hyperrealistic rendering, dramatic stormy sky lighting, and a tense, urgent atmosphere create a vivid, immersive high fantasy action moment.

Great image composition - Love that the dragon was not the focus but still tells a strong narrative. Caption was pretty witty too. Congrats on top 10!
