Here it is, my Firefly style mash-up set. Firefly is one of my all time favourite shows that ever made it to air. Sadly, it got axed after one season 24 years ago, but it is returning soon as an animation with all the original cast doing the VA for their characters🤩 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osPsUFrvrSQ

About this image

A cinematic sci-fi western scene featuring the rusted ship Serenity and a heroic figure at its ramp, greetingly raising a hand as a crowd gathers in a sunlit desert town. The warm, amber tones and dusty atmosphere evoke a steampunk aesthetic with a dramatic, adventurous mood and a sense of voyage and rebellion.

A cinematic, anime-style illustration of a rugged hero on the gangplank of a massive airship marked "Serenity," waving to a hopeful crowd below. The warm sunset tones, dynamic cape, and industrial steampunk details create a vivid sense of adventure and triumph, with smaller inset panels and distant flying craft enhancing the epic atmosphere.

A cinematic sci-fi scene featuring a rugged man in a brown coat standing at the open boarding ramp of the Millennium Falcon. The spacefaring ship looms above a bustling desert city, with warm, dusty tones and a hopeful, triumphant mood as hands reach out to greet him. This image blends Star Wars aesthetics with adventure and crowd-energy, ideal for keywords around space opera, iconic ships, and sci-fi fandom.

Good job, although I'm more of Farscape.

I'd be ok with just letting the inbetween time last awhile in the animation. In some ways having just one season made it like the perfect gem, you got to know the characters, you got to know the world and you got the first story arc. It didn't have a season where the story arc was mucked or a character went off the rails. I loved Wash's and Zoe's relationship because they were so different from each that they balanced and yet at the same time many of their core values were similar. It was quite lovely to watch them. They cracked me up tho. Like when they were being interrogated and asked about the relationship and he is going on and on about how wonderful and sexy she is and when they ask her she just says her relationship is private, lol. So funny.

yeah, and animation makes sense. It's been so long tht most movie reboots would replace the crew with younger actors and I'd hate that. I'd rather see an animation and hear their voices. Although Ron Glass has passed in RL. I loved his character. I loved all the characters. Even, well, yeah, even Jayne, the hero of Canton

I love the fact that the movie got made, but tbh I want the animation to ignore it and give us the show that the fans deserve. Plus, Wash and Zoe are the best couple I've ever seen on screen [their chemistry was beautiful], so I wanna see them get the ending they deserve too😊

  • @JMN ·

Of course you are a fan, how am I not surprised, panos😁. I rewatched it about a year ago. So glad when I saw the cast at a convention announcing it will be an animation that they are all working on together🤩Shiny!

  • @JMN ·

Hard to argue with that, I'll be grateful once it hits my screen regardless of their design choices tbh. I'm so stoked that they finally got it off the ground, for a second time no less!!! Legends🤩

He didn't think so lol. I had to leave in the middle of his talk to go to work, I gestured my apology but he just death stared me the whole time it took me to leave😬😵🤣
