About this image

A cinematic poster for the Syberia game series set in a frosty, atmospheric winter world. It features two travelers standing in the snow, with a steam locomotive and a ghostly, ethereal elephant figure looming behind them, conveying mystery and adventure.

A rugged winter explorer in a beige suede shearling jacket, brown leather pants, and fur-trim belt stands confidently in a snowy setting, with a steam locomotive blurred behind her. The scene blends rugged outdoorswear with a cinematic, adventurous mood, highlighting warm textures, fur details, and cold-weather gear suitable for winter fashion or action storytelling.

A rugged, post-apocalyptic character stands in a snow-filled, icy scene wearing steampunk-style goggles and a fur-trimmed jacket. The bleak mood and desolate setting, with a derailed train in the distance, emphasize resilience and wilderness survival in harsh winter conditions.

Cool, so that's going to be your character set. Have fun on your adventures!

Fantastic images! I love the more prominent characters against the softer backgrounds.

And very nice results! Inspiration comes from all sorts of places 😊

Oh GREAT!! Thank you!! I have to say, though, I've played only the first two. I tried the 3rd one this past autumn, after many years but it got to a point that it stuck totally -this game is SO buggy - and because of the totally stupid one save per game functiom I dreaded doing it from the start again - though I WILL do so! So I haven't done ?The World Before" also. So, consider my story as a sequel to Syberia 2. In fact i got the idea this at work to title the series: Syberia: The World After

Thank you very much! Looking for images of Kate & Oscar to use as templates - a difficult job as most are from the 2000's games, with very old-fashioned graphics, I stumbled on an image in Pinterest, where a woman had done a wonderful image of Kate (from afar, very small size in the canvas) using this dreamy, snowy, pastel-pallette background. I used that image in img-to-img as a "for art-style use that image" template. Here are the results.

For me one of the best ever. That is, if you like the so-called Puzzle games. Back then we called them Adventure games. Of course, as it always happens, because of circumstances when we played this, I have a strong senimental attachment to this game. And now the time has come ror my own sequel to that story.

I played Space Invaders in the cafes, as we called them back then. That came after pinball. I wrote my first program in Fortran when I was 14 on a greeen screen mainframe terminal, guess I have been close to tech ever since.

  • @DavidP ·

Indeed not. Once I tried him on the games I played when I was young (early-mid 20s) like Space Quest and King's Quest. He was not impressed 🤣 But they seemed so amazing back then (late 80s)

Anything can happen there! It is a GREAT Nexus of Worlds! And I love the concept so much. I enjoy reading HPL's stories of them again & again!!

  • @legion ·

Yes, but I played them with such long intervals of time that I hardly remembered them when I played the last one.
