As always, I’m posting this a bit late. Samurai are just so cool, aren’t they? When Japan moved from the Edo period into the Meiji era, samurai had to lay down their swords and find a new role in society. That sense of loss and uncertainty feels like a perfect match with Edvard Munch’s world to me.

Love the feeling of this, love the style

Very cool! Captures the feeling perfectly of not fitting in the modern world, and feeling like the living ghost of the past
