Surreal painting of a pianist with overlong hands playing piano

About this image

This eerie surrealist oil painting depicts a stern tuxedoed pianist with unnaturally elongated hands playing a curved grand piano under a single stage spotlight. Deep red velvet theater curtains frame the stage, while two formally dressed men carry a limp unconscious woman through a side entrance in the background. The scene has a tense, uncanny vintage theatrical mood, rendered with rich textured brushwork in moody muted tones.
