Desert road encounter with a man

Tuesday: Roger Waters - 5:01AM (The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking, Pt. 10) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUzLkmSGd6o --------------------------------------------------- Scanned through my iPod hunting for a band/artist with a drink in the name and came up with just one. Thought I might stretch a point to consider 'Keith Richards and the exPensive Winos' which at least as a drinking association but my compliant side said "No, not on theme" --------------------------------------------------- Song challenge blog https://budgetpixel.com/blog/drinking-song-challenge-february-11-17-2026

About this image

A cinematic desert road scene at golden hour shows a man with a backpack standing between a turquoise vintage convertible with a woman driver and a rugged motorcyclist approaching. The expansive canyon landscape and warm light create an adventurous, road-trip vibe perfect for travel and outdoors keywords.

Wish you were here is a great song. I don't know if there is a nesting reply limit. Your last reply did not have a reply button but I can reply to your first reply and that sets me up with a reply button and we can repeat it. I guess we'll find out eventually if there's a limit, lol.

Thanks - I try 😀 I don't really know much Pink Floyd or his solo work. Somehow knew this song. PF is the obvious Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall, plus Wish You Were Here. I know they produced many many albums from the 60s until not sure when.

Thanks. I knew some of the snippets about PF history - the Waters-Gilmour feud. And the loss of Syd Barrett about whom the song Wish You Were Here is about. - WRT replies, I wonder if there is a nesting limit on the replies?

Pink Floyd existed before and after Roger Waters. They were not as popular tho. Roger Waters tried to sue them to stop using the Pink Floyd name but he lost. Two founding members died in 2000s so the band is no longer making new albums. The last one Endless River in 2014 was based on 1994 sessions. Waters later regretted suing them. They did a reunion concert in 2005. All of this I googled. I should try to find a post-Roger song. Not being popular is no the same as not being good. (btw, I can reply directly to you now. no more workarounds)

The image is perfect for the song with the hitchhiker and the two people he met. I can see she's eyeing him like candy. I didn't know about Roger Water's career after Pink Floyd so this is new for me. Very different than his Pink Floyd feel but I like it. I like how it feels like a moment in a story. And I love the sax.
