Modern Medusa with coiled green snake hair plays violin while seated on a worn wooden apartment staircase.
This richly textured surreal fantasy painting reimagines the mythological Medusa as a modern young woman playing a polished wooden violin, perched on a weathered dark wood tenement staircase. She wears an olive knit sweater and ripped blue jeans, her coiled green snake hair glowing softly under warm pendant lamp light. A nighttime city skyline glows through the window behind her, giving the scene an intimate, atmospheric quiet mood.

Same old song! Just a drop of water in an endless sea! ----------------- This was one of the first song i learn to play in guitar when i was in high school, i have some school friends that also played guitar and they struggle to nail the "arpeggio" intro of the song, i wasnt a very skilled guitarrist but this one particulary i learned quite easily, also then later in summer visiting cousings, some of them also knew this song, and he played the solo on flute meanwhile i did the acoustic guitar part. I singed this song in class for a english class exam :) ---------------- Why a gorgon playin violin? because why not! ---------------- https://youtu.be/hNp6y7aYa-s?si=ep2IyvcEIb2qc8IS

Fabulous memory. Not into Kansas but love this song. Have struggled a bit with that intro, never quite got it, and being able to play and sing it beyond me. Lovely image
