Same prompt, five different moods. The first version leans hard into the candlelit warmth and the fur reads thickest there. The middle ones go flatter and more graphic, like the tin label colors took over. By the last one the palette turns dusty and the barber almost disappears into the backdrop. Models, in order: 1. gpt-image-2 2. flux-1.1-pro 3. seedream-5.0-pro 4. grok-imagine-image-2 5. nano-banana-2-lite

Prompt: Jean-Baptiste Monge + Godfried Schalcken + vintage Bengali sweet-tin chromolithograph labels, where Monge's creature modelling creates plush tactile fur through layered fine-tipped strokes that follow the form, Schalcken's candlelit tenebrism produces a warm enveloping glow via soft value falloff from a single low-key source, and the tin labels infuse flat saturated lithographic fills ringed by burnished gold borders. The fusion manifests as dry-brushed fur worked over glazed shadow, a restricted ochre and umber palette with one warm highlight note, transforming any subject through cozy backlit warmth and buttery rounded modelling. A plump anthropomorphic ginger tabby cat with round cheeks and long whiskers, wearing a fluffy grey robe over a white bib shirt with buttons and a patterned brown bow tie, and a human barber in a black waistcoat, white shirt and bow tie holding a wooden comb and an ornate gilt hand mirror. Medium shot at eye level, the cat seated square to the lens reclined in a barber chair with eyes blissfully closed and a contented smile, forepaws resting on the chrome armrests, tail draped over one side, the barber cropped at the left frame edge with one hand combing the fur on the cat's head and the other holding up the mirror, shallow depth of field softening the plain backdrop. Scene set in a barbershop during an unspecified time, with a calm pampered atmosphere, featuring a black leather and polished-metal barber chair against a neutral graduated backdrop.

ALL are so pampering adorable

I like them all. they have a cool happy vibe. The cat's content expression is marvelous and the barbers look like they enjoy their work. The vibe is 1920s or 1950s when ordinary life was being idealized in postcards, magazines and paintings.
