The Other Side of Ordinary

Entry in the Unexpected Portal challenge.

About this image

This surreal fantasy digital artwork shows a Black woman in a soft floral dress leaning over a vintage clawfoot bathtub in a warm, tiled retro bathroom, staring in awe at a glowing lightning-edged portal emerging from the tub. The interdimensional portal opens to a vibrant magical realm populated by a roaring T-Rex, flying pterodactyls, a spired medieval hilltop castle, mounted knights, a village gathering, and dramatic mountain scenery, blending prehistoric and high fantasy tropes. Warm amber bathroom wall lamp light contrasts against the cool crackling blue glow of the portal, building a whimsical, captivated mood of unexpected cross-world discovery.
