About this image

A moody, post-apocalyptic sci-fi scene shows a family seated inside a dirty, cramped spacecraft cabin, watching a large Earth-like planet with solar-panel textures through a window. The greenish tint, broken equipment, and anxious expressions create a tense, dystopian mood perfect for space survival narratives.

My thought was first humans ruined Mars and then moved to Earth. and then forgot they came from Mars and their tech was lost and they became all primitive but when they advanced again to the same level, they made the same mistake and ruined earth. Now they are going to the next place. the ship barely gets there and there is no infrastructure for repairs so when they land, they ahve to go to primitive life as batteries die out or fuels run out. and once again they forget. That's what I was thinking. Your way is sadder tho. Because your way, it is not one species making the same mistake, it's more than one, and each one gets to the same point and then dies out. So it's very sad but it's a good story. It'lll be cool to see your story if/when you make a song and vid.

It's an idea for a song and video I've had for a while, which tells the story of how Mars became a desert, making the same mistakes we're making now on Earth, like destroying fields with forests and vegetation to install solar panels that would increase warming instead of reducing it. But in the end, an unexpected twist reveals that I'm not talking about Mars, but about Earth itself. The video would be about walking on a red planet, and I'm not sure if I should include a scene of the Statue of Liberty half-destroyed at the end, like in Planet of the Apes. I'm telling you this because, given that Mars has already suffered, I don't know where these poor people would go. If we destroy our planet, we wouldn't be able to terraform Mars.

Both losers and winners want to rewrite history to make it look like their side was right, the other wrong; their side won, the other side lost and if the other side looked like they won than they must have cheated. Getting to the point where peple can say, the past angers and injustices we ill not repeat but we will let it go, and from here we will build a new way together -- that's a hard place to get to . Very few people do

  • @CaylaCatz ·

That's true too. I also think it's a case of "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." although I sometimes think with the past being in books, people ignore the past when it happens again becauset hey think now is different than before. Now may be different techwise, but people are the same.

  • @CaylaCatz ·

yeah, but that could be the ending. you realize htey migrated from mars to earth. But as they leave earth, you don't know where they are going to. You just see masses of ships leaving together in an armada going to planets unknown

  • @legion ·

Your theory is also very good, but I base mine on the fact that some people don't learn even by seeing others make the same mistake.

  • @legion ·

That's right, as I say, they want to win a past war on paper that they lost on the battlefield. They bore me...

  • @CaylaCatz ·

oh no! They don't look happy about moving to Mars. cool image
