That too, of course. I think it has something to do with an animation style that I've seen before; watercolours drop onto the sketched image and bleed towards the edges until it comes to life, fully realised.

Is it just me, or do watercolour backgrounds allow our minds to fill in the gaps and make it more pleasing?
