"Boss Battle on the Clouds (Inspired by @bleepunc )" When I saw bleepunc's winning entry for the Boss Battle daily challenge, it reminded me of the confrontation between The Monkey King (Sun Wukong) and the Buddha in the Chinese Folktale Journey to the West, where Sun Wukong was trapped under the Buddha's palm after losing a bet. So when the "On the Cloud" daily challenge came along, I saw it as a chance to replicate bleepunc's visual for the Journey to the West confrontation scene. I thought it would be a simple task of swapping out of the characters and background scene, but it turned out that I had to spend a fair bit of time and credits to fine tune the flaws, especially the positioning of the fingers (which was one of the problems bleepunc struggled with as well). I expected this to land in the lower half of the rankings as it was a reference to something that probably many voters here aren't familar with, so it was pretty surprising that it got 19 out of 68 entries. Most importantly, I managed to create the visual that I had thought about for some time now.

I was convinced this was a leaderboard contender! At the very least, I expected it to finish above mine (and for once, I was right 🤪). Maybe you were right about the reference being a factor. The execution is solid, but if voters weren't familiar with Journey to the West, they might not have fully appreciated what was happening in the scene
