Terrified young woman reaches toward the viewer — AI art by @beastxyz

Nightmarescape I didn't want to create a fantasy landscape visual that I expected many to choose as their dreamscape, so I decided to flip it and do something about nightmares instead. I had a few rather haunting memories of dreaming that I was falling from a tall spot, and I envisioned that falling into a pit of ghosts waiting to devour the fallen being is terrifying enough, which is what I ended up with. I guess most still prefer the brighter, more colorful and positive fantasy dreamscapes than a dark nightmarescape. Ended up in the bottom 10 (55th out of 65th) which I am totally fine with - I kinda expected and understood how the voting did not work in my favour with a piece like this.

You and me both. It was a scary dreamscape

Thank you for your vote. It was probably for the better, your dreamscape earned you a top 20 spot. Those who attempted a nightmare one did not do so well.

Very cool—was it yours? I voted for it. I also thought about doing a "nightmare" [theme], but in the end, I didn't.

Relatable! I tried a 'falling' theme too and ended up at #38 lol
