I think it's risky whenever you do something unusual in the DC. I think some people score based on how close you come to their idea of the theme and based on BP's intro image. I would prefer they didn't have an intro image becasue I think entries might be more varied and interesting.

yeah, it definitely sets the tone. Most times if you stray too far from it, votes don't go well. But once in a while, the winner is within topic and very different in essence. I like that when that happens.

It may. Or you can look at it as a good model of trying to please a client or a wider audience. I'm not good at that. I like to do what I like too much, lol.

Yeah, I think that's true. People can be selfish and demanding. But others are kind. I think it's important to seek out the kind ones and treasure them as people and friends.

I am pretty good at pleasing a client, but a little part of me dies inside each time. People can be so demanding and selfish.
