"Their Last Farewell Was Forever." The brief was simple and straight-forward enough - create a farewell scene of two beings at a train station. Initially I was thinking of how to present a sad story of a farewell that both did not know was their last, as cruel fate would tear them apart and they would not see each other again. Then I explored the story further - what if the present scene at the station was about learning that their last farewell at the same place was forever? In the end I went with the story of how a mother learnt about the departure of her son, a fallen policeman during a call of duty, (presumably) at the same train station where she bid him goodbye. I added a senior officer passing the urn to the mother. for added melodramatic effect. I thought it answered the challenge well without being too different, so it should do around the rankings of 20s. While placing 28 out of 60 was exactly what I had predicted, I did noticed that it did pretty well at one point (ELO of over 1600) before I lost 100+ points in the final hours of voting. Thought I could get in top 10 so a tad disappointed that it was not meant to be.
