About this image

A dramatic desert scene featuring a cloaked rider atop a colossal sandworm, kicking up sand as the creature surges forward. The gritty, sunlit palette and dynamic motion convey epic fantasy adventure and survival in a harsh, sandy landscape, with strong themes of combat and alliance with the iconic sandworm from Dune.

A dramatic sci-fi/fantasy scene of a masked rider in dusty, layered attire atop a gigantic sandworm, set against warm golden dunes. The image showcases epic adventure, intricate costume textures, and a sense of danger, reminiscent of Dune-inspired visuals with cinematic lighting and motion.

Never seen the series. Saw the '84 film with Sting which was OK, though not an especially autrhentic intrepretation as I recall. I think Villenueve's were far better. Saw them last year, a few years after reading the books and from my recollection he did a great job. I know LOTR book and films far better than Dune but would say maybe even on a par with Jackson's films. Google says part 3 to be released for Christmas this year. May even go see that in a theatre when it is released.

I recall so. Read the first back as a student in the early 80s. Then all 6 3-4 years ago. Honestly wish I'd stopped after the first 3. I found the 4th poor. 5th and 6th better but not worth all the hours spent on them.
