  Ohh, I have copies of Abraham Merritt's "The Ship of Isthar" and E.E. Doc Smith's "The Skylark of Space" with interior illustrations by Virgil Finlay!!Don't know if it was ALL of them, but then and earlier, interiors were most common

  I liked those kind of books. Like Jules Verne and Edgar Rice Burroughs where in the earth you find a dinosaur world, or people go through portals to an advanced or past world. It's fun.
