Diamonds and Toads Two young women meet a poor old blind woman in the forest. One is the spoiled daughter of a wealthy widow, while the other is the stepdaughter who is mistreated since her wealthy father has died. The stepdaughter is kind to the old woman, giving her some water she was carrying. The diva is rude, insulting her with sharp words. Turns out the old woman is a fairy godmother and gives each a gift commensurate with their character. When one speaks, jewels and flowers fall from her mouth. When the other talks, toads and snakes fall out.
