About this image

This handcrafted wood marquetry art piece features an intricate inlaid scene of a fisherman rowing a wooden boat through a lily pad dotted marsh beneath a glowing starry night sky. The elaborate floral carved border uses contrasting light and dark hardwood tones to frame the whimsical folk art scene, with warm brown, deep navy, and soft green inlay creating a calm, magical mood. The finished panel rests on a worn woodworker's workbench, showcasing traditional fine woodworking and marquetry craft.
