Over the years, Hollywood has turned some of the 80s/90s TV cartoons into live-action movies - Transformers, G.I.Joe and the most recent one being Masters of the Universe. Here are some of the cartoons that I watched when I was young, reimagined as live-action movies today. They certainly don't make cartoons like these anymore, and I am glad I lived through the golden age of cartoons. Links to the respective cartoons are in the comments section.

About this image

This 4x4 photorealistic collage features side-by-side portraits of human operatives and their custom futuristic combat armor sets. Each unique suit comes in bold saturated hues, set against the soft blurred background of a dim industrial spaceship hangar. The rendering is hyper-realistic, leaning into retro sci-fi action franchise aesthetic.

This charming group of 3D animated anthropomorphic cat characters features Garfield and his quirky friend group, posed cheerfully on a residential urban neighborhood street. The soft plush character design uses bright warm tones, set against classic red brick row buildings and vintage city street props. The mood is lighthearted, playful, and welcoming, captured in a fun group portrait style.

Three rugged tactical astronauts in bright orange, green, and blue armored space suits sprint down a polished metallic corridor of a massive orbiting space station. The large arched viewport behind them displays the curved surface of Earth and a sprawling ring space station floating in deep space. The scene has a tense, urgent mood, rendered in hyperrealistic sci-fi style with gritty industrial detailing and moody ambient lighting.
