About this image

This tender gothic fairytale illustration shows a small girl in a purple gown and black cape kneeling beside a weathered angel statue in a foggy full moon lit autumn garden. Glowing jack-o-lanterns, lit lanterns, spiderwebs, and fall leaves line the stone path leading to distant spooky Victorian homes, with soft warm light emanating from the girl's magical red rose. The scene carries a quiet melancholic hopeful mood, paired with fantasy story text for a romantic Halloween fable.
