The Witch Who Opened the Sky

Entry in the Halloween Night challenge.

About this image

This whimsical dark fantasy Halloween artwork features a powerful witch in a black and crimson gothic gown standing on a weathered rooftop, yanking open a giant magical zipper stitched into the night sky. Beyond the zipper, a glowing carved pumpkin moon hangs above a ghost horse-drawn carriage floating over a misty, spired gothic city dotted with glowing jack-o-lanterns. Warm orange Halloween lighting contrasts with cool stormy twilight tones, for a playful, spooky magical autumn mood filled with bats, ghosts, and a perched black cat.
