ZONE ZERO: THE LAST TRANSMISSION

SCENE 01 — THE DEAD CITY
Twenty-seven years after the catastrophic failure of the Chernobyl-9 nuclear facility, an entire industrial region remains abandoned.
From thousands of feet above the ground, a vast landscape of collapsed factories, flooded streets, rusting power lines, and decaying apartment blocks stretches beneath a dark, turbulent sky.
Nature has reclaimed the city. Trees grow through concrete buildings. Roads disappear beneath stagnant water. The enormous nuclear facility stands in the distance, its damaged cooling towers visible through the fog.
For a brief moment, something green illuminates the clouds above the facility.
A mysterious atmospheric distortion.
Then darkness returns.
SCENE 02 — THE LAST PATROL
A military transport convoy approaches the exclusion zone.
Four soldiers travel inside an armored personnel carrier.
Captain Adam, the team leader, studies an old photograph of a young boy. The boy is his younger brother, Daniel, who disappeared during the original evacuation twenty-seven years earlier.
Dr. Elena checks radiation readings.
Sergeant Viktor loads his rifle.
Noah, the youngest member, monitors the communications equipment.
A military transmission interrupts the silence:
"Reconnaissance Team Seven, your mission is simple. Locate the source of the transmission. Recover any surviving personnel. No unauthorized contact with civilian infrastructure."
Adam looks through the vehicle window.
The abandoned city appears ahead.
SCENE 03 — THE WARNING
The convoy stops at an abandoned military checkpoint.
A massive concrete barrier blocks the road.
A warning sign reads:
RESTRICTED ZONE — BIOLOGICAL AND RADIOLOGICAL HAZARD.
Viktor discovers several military helmets scattered across the ground.
They are old.
But the blood on them appears fresh.
Elena examines a strange black substance covering the concrete wall. It resembles organic tissue growing through the cracks.
Suddenly, Noah hears a metallic impact from somewhere inside the abandoned checkpoint tower.
He turns.
A human-shaped silhouette disappears behind a broken window.
"Did anyone else see that?"
Nobody answers.
SCENE 04 — THE SIGNAL
Inside an abandoned underground communications station, Noah discovers an operational military radio transmitter.
Despite twenty-seven years without maintenance, the equipment is still functioning.
A repeating distress signal comes through the speakers.
A young female voice whispers:
"Please... somebody... we're still here."
Adam immediately recognizes something strange.
The transmission contains an identification code belonging to his missing brother's evacuation unit.
He approaches the radio.
"Who is this? Identify yourself."
The voice responds:
"Captain Adam... we've been waiting for you."
The transmission abruptly stops.
SCENE 05 — SOMETHING IS WATCHING
Night falls.
The team establishes a temporary observation position overlooking the industrial district.
Noah operates a thermal imaging device.
He notices an enormous heat signature moving between abandoned factory buildings.
At first, he assumes it is a group of animals.
Then the thermal image shows something impossible.
Two legs.
Two arms.
A body almost twelve meters tall.
The creature stops moving.
Slowly, its head turns directly toward their observation position.
The thermal image disappears.
Outside, something enormous moves through the darkness.
The ground begins to shake.
ACT II — THE NIGHTMARE
SCENE 06 — THE EXPERIMENT
The team discovers a concealed entrance beneath an abandoned medical research facility.
Inside, they find a laboratory containing hundreds of preserved biological specimens.
Some are human.
Others are impossible combinations of human anatomy and unidentified organic structures.
Elena discovers classified research documents describing an experimental project called PROJECT EIDOLON.
The scientists were attempting to establish communication with an unknown biological intelligence detected beneath the nuclear facility.
The experiment succeeded.
But something came through.
Elena finds a photograph of the original research team.
One scientist has been deliberately scratched out.
A name remains visible beneath the photograph:
DR. SAMUEL VOSS.
SCENE 07 — THE HUNT
A security system activates unexpectedly.
Heavy steel doors begin closing throughout the laboratory.
An alarm echoes through the corridors.
The team runs toward the emergency exit.
Viktor is separated from the others.
Something moves rapidly through the ventilation system.
A pale, distorted humanoid creature drops from the ceiling and attacks him.
Viktor fires repeatedly.
The creature collapses.
Then another appears.
And another.
Adam and Elena reach the exit, but Noah is trapped behind a security door.
Adam returns to rescue him.
As they escape, Viktor disappears into the darkness.
The last thing the team hears is his voice over the radio.
"Don't let them take me alive."
A gunshot follows.
SCENE 08 — THE COLOSSUS
Adam and Noah reach the flooded industrial district at sunset.
They take cover behind the remains of a collapsed concrete structure.
Across the water, an enormous humanoid creature emerges from the fog.
It is unlike anything they have encountered.
Its body is skeletal and grotesquely elongated, with enormous arms, exposed tendons, damaged skin, and a distorted human face.
Its height exceeds twelve meters.
The creature moves slowly through the shallow radioactive water.
A massive hand reaches toward the remains of an abandoned bridge.
Above the industrial facility, a mysterious green vortex opens in the storm clouds.
Several dark objects appear suspended in the atmosphere around it.
The creature raises its head and releases an enormous, terrifying roar.
Adam points his rifle toward it.
Noah freezes.
But the creature does not attack.
It looks directly at Adam.
Then, in a barely recognizable human voice, it whispers:
"Daniel..."
Adam lowers his weapon.
SCENE 09 — THE PROTECTOR
The creature moves toward an enormous underground entrance hidden beneath the industrial facility.
Adam and Noah follow at a distance.
They expect an attack.
Instead, they witness something unexpected.
The creature kneels beside a damaged ventilation shaft.
It gently removes a massive piece of concrete blocking the entrance.
A faint light appears deep inside the underground structure.
The creature carefully places its enormous hand against the entrance.
A child's voice can be heard from below.
"Father?"
Adam realizes the creature is protecting someone.
SCENE 10 — THE LAST CHILD
Adam and Elena enter the underground shelter.
They discover a functioning life-support system and several dozen empty sleeping chambers.
One room remains occupied.
Inside is a young woman named Mia, approximately twenty-nine years old.
She has lived underground since the disaster.
Her father, Dr. Samuel Voss, built the shelter and protected her from the creatures above.
Mia reveals that Samuel was not responsible for the original disaster.
He was trying to stop it.
She explains that the military government abandoned the survivors deliberately because they had discovered something beneath the reactor.
Something that could change the entire world.
SCENE 11 — THE TRUTH
Mia reveals an old recording made by her father.
The video shows Dr. Samuel Voss before the disaster.
He explains that Project EIDOLON discovered a biological intelligence existing beneath the reactor.
The energy released during the experiment opened a connection between two dimensions.
Samuel attempted to shut it down manually.
He succeeded in preventing the destruction of the entire region, but the exposure transformed his body into something monstrous.
His memories remained intact.
His mind remained human.
For twenty-seven years, he protected the shelter from the creatures emerging through the unstable dimensional breach.
Adam recognizes something in the recording.
Samuel was working alongside his missing brother Daniel.
Daniel was not killed during the evacuation.
He became one of the original survivors.
Adam realizes that the signal was never a request for rescue.
It was a warning.
ACT III — THE SACRIFICE
SCENE 12 — THE BETRAYAL
A military attack helicopter enters the exclusion zone.
A second transmission reaches Adam's radio.
The government has activated the final containment protocol.
The entire industrial region will be destroyed by an aerial strike.
Mia recognizes the military insignia.
She knows what this means.
The government is not attempting to contain the disaster.
It is attempting to eliminate every surviving witness.
Adam refuses to leave without the survivors.
Elena discovers that the dimensional breach is becoming unstable.
They have less than one hour.
SCENE 13 — THE LAST GUARDIAN
The military begins its assault.
Explosions destroy the industrial structures surrounding the shelter.
The enormous creature emerges from the fog.
For the first time, it moves with extraordinary speed.
It attacks the military forces, destroying an armored vehicle and shielding the shelter entrance with its enormous body.
Mia runs toward it.
The creature recognizes her.
It lowers its head.
She touches its damaged face.
For a brief moment, the creature's eyes become human again.
Adam realizes the creature is losing control.
The dimensional breach is consuming it.
SCENE 14 — THE SACRIFICE
Elena discovers the only way to close the dimensional breach.
The reactor must be restarted manually from the original control chamber.
The process will destroy everything inside.
Samuel understands what must happen.
Despite his monstrous appearance, he still possesses enough human consciousness to make the final decision.
Adam attempts to stop him.
But Samuel gently pushes him away.
Mia embraces her father for the last time.
Samuel slowly enters the reactor chamber.
The enormous green vortex begins collapsing.
His body disappears behind a blinding wave of radioactive light.
The entire facility erupts.
Then silence.
The sky turns black.
The breach is gone.
SCENE 15 — THE FINAL TRANSMISSION
Three weeks later.
The surviving members of the team walk out of the exclusion zone.
The sky is clear for the first time in decades.
The industrial facility is silent.
Mia carries her father's old wristwatch.
Adam walks beside her.
He has finally accepted that his brother Daniel died protecting the survivors.
Elena looks toward the distant ruins.
Something feels wrong.
Noah receives a faint radio transmission.
At first, there is only static.
Then a familiar voice speaks.
"Reconnaissance Team Seven... do you copy?"
Adam stops walking.
He recognizes the voice immediately.
It belongs to his brother Daniel.
The radio crackles again.
"Adam... you shouldn't have closed it."
The camera slowly moves toward the distant horizon.
Beneath the ground, a faint green light begins to pulse.
A second vortex appears in the clouds.
Then a third.
The screen cuts to black.
A final message appears:
THE BREACH WAS NEVER THE PROBLEM.
IT WAS THE DOOR.
A final radio transmission whispers:
"ZONE ZERO... THIS IS NOT THE ONLY ONE."
END OF PART ONE.
