THE RETURN OF THE PRIMORDIAL ONE

PROLOGUE — BEFORE THE BEGINNING
Before the first star illuminated the darkness, before time acquired meaning, and before the universe gave birth to life, there was something that existed beyond the boundaries of creation.
It had no name. No form that mortal minds could comprehend. No beginning, because beginnings belonged to a universe that had not yet been born.
Ancient civilizations whispered of its existence through forbidden scriptures, astronomical alignments, and symbols carved into monuments older than recorded history. They called it the Primordial One.
Some believed it was the first god. Others believed that the gods themselves were merely fragments of its forgotten existence.
But the oldest surviving inscriptions carried a far more terrifying message:
The universe was not created. It was dreamed.
And the dream was beginning to fade.
CHAPTER I — THE DISCOVERY
Deep beneath the ruins of a forgotten civilization, an archaeological expedition uncovered an enormous stone structure buried beneath centuries of sediment and collapsed architecture.
Its walls were covered with unfamiliar hieroglyphs, celestial diagrams, and intricate geometric symbols.
Among them was a peculiar emblem: an interlocking hexagram enclosed within a perfect golden circle.
At its center was a completely black sphere.
The discovery attracted the attention of Adam, an archaeologist and historian whose fascination with ancient cosmology had consumed much of his professional life.
As he examined the enormous carved slab, he noticed something extraordinary.
The symbols were not arranged like ordinary inscriptions. They formed a complex mathematical pattern, resembling an astronomical map.
The more he studied the structure, the more disturbing the discovery became.
The same symbol appeared in civilizations separated by thousands of years and entire continents. It appeared in forgotten temples, underground chambers, and ancient manuscripts whose origins remained unknown.
It was as though different civilizations had independently witnessed the same impossible phenomenon.
And each had attempted to leave behind a warning.
CHAPTER II — THE DECIPHERING
Adam transported several recovered fragments to an isolated research archive.
For weeks, he compared the inscriptions with ancient astronomical records, religious manuscripts, and surviving mythological traditions.
Eventually, he discovered a manuscript hidden inside a sealed compartment within the original excavation site.
Its pages depicted an enormous black sphere surrounded by countless branching appendages.
Beneath the illustration was a sequence of geometric symbols identical to those engraved upon the ancient monument.
The manuscript described an entity that existed before the separation of light and darkness.
It spoke of a presence that did not rule the universe but existed as the source from which all existence emerged.
The final passages were particularly disturbing.
They described a group of ancient priests who had attempted to communicate with the entity. Their civilization had disappeared almost overnight, leaving behind only abandoned temples and mysterious astronomical structures.
Adam translated the final surviving sentence:
When the golden geometry is completed, the sleeping origin shall remember its name.
For the first time, he understood that the ancient inscriptions were not historical records.
They were instructions.
CHAPTER III — THE RITUAL
Unknown to Adam, the manuscript had already attracted the attention of an organization that had survived in secrecy for centuries.
Known as the Order of the Veil, this mysterious society believed that humanity was living inside an incomplete reality.
Its members regarded the ancient entity not as a monster but as the ultimate source of existence.
They believed that the apparent separation between humanity, nature, time, and the cosmos was an illusion.
Their ultimate objective was to restore the connection between the material universe and the primordial consciousness.
Deep within an abandoned temple, the Order assembled beneath an enormous circular altar.
Hooded figures surrounded the chamber, carrying ceremonial staffs and ancient relics.
At the center stood their High Priest, wearing a crimson cloak embroidered with the golden geometric symbol.
Above the altar, an enormous black sphere appeared suspended within a luminous celestial diagram.
The priests began reciting words preserved through generations.
The floor trembled.
The flames of the candles bent toward the altar.
And somewhere beneath the foundations of the world, something answered.
CHAPTER IV — THE AWAKENING
The first signs appeared across the oceans.
Ships reported enormous shadows moving beneath perfectly still waters. Coastal communities witnessed strange golden lights illuminating the horizon.
Astronomers detected inexplicable distortions in the night sky.
Then the oceans began to rise.
Far beyond the ancient temple, the surface of the black sea split apart.
Something emerged from the depths.
At first, it appeared to be an enormous spherical object surrounded by an intricate golden halo.
Then its appendages began to unfold.
Dozens of immense, ink-black tentacles extended outward, moving like the roots of an impossible celestial tree. Thin veins of molten amber illuminated their surfaces.
The entity had no recognizable face, no eyes, and no mouth.
Its central sphere was an absolute void, absorbing the surrounding light.
Its body descended into the ocean, where an enormous network of tendrils spread beneath the surface.
The ancient geometric symbol burned in the sky above it.
The Primordial One had awakened.
And the universe seemed to recognize its return.
CHAPTER V — THE FALL
The awakening marked the beginning of the end.
Across the world, ancient monuments began to collapse. Entire cities disappeared beneath rising waters. Storms consumed the skies, while enormous shadows moved through the clouds.
The laws of nature became increasingly unstable.
Time seemed to fracture in certain places. Some witnesses described seeing ancient civilizations occupying the same physical spaces as modern cities.
Others reported hearing voices speaking in languages that had not existed for thousands of years.
Humanity attempted to resist, but conventional weapons proved meaningless.
The entity did not attack in any recognizable sense.
It simply existed.
Its presence altered the world around it, as though reality itself were struggling to accommodate something that had never belonged within its boundaries.
The Order of the Veil watched from the ruins of its temple.
Their High Priest finally understood the terrible mistake.
They had believed they were summoning a god that would grant them knowledge and transcendence.
Instead, they had opened the door to something beyond the concepts of worship, power, and destruction.
The entity was not returning to conquer creation.
Creation was returning to it.
One by one, the great monuments of humanity disappeared beneath the darkness.
And the last lights of civilization began to fade.
CHAPTER VI — THE PRIMORDIAL ONE
When the final storm subsided, an impossible silence descended upon the world.
The ancient city stood partially submerged beneath a black, motionless sea.
Its once magnificent palaces, aqueducts, triumphal arches, and temples had become fragments of a forgotten civilization.
At the center of the endless water, the Primordial One remained.
Its perfectly spherical head was surrounded by a luminous golden halo containing the ancient geometric sigil.
Its tentacles extended across the horizon, resembling the roots and branches of a cosmic tree.
A weathered marble angel stood upon a ruined pedestal, its wings broken and its face turned toward the entity.
Above the ruins, ghostly winged figures drifted through the smoky atmosphere.
There were no armies, no kings, no priests, and no witnesses left to record what had happened.
Only the entity remained.
Yet something extraordinary became apparent.
The destruction was not the final stage of an apocalypse.
It was a transformation.
The black sea reflected the golden light of the celestial symbol. The ruins appeared to dissolve into the surrounding darkness, while the boundaries between matter, energy, and consciousness began to disappear.
The Primordial One had not destroyed the universe.
It had simply awakened from its dream.
And everything that had existed within that dream was returning to its origin.
EPILOGUE — THE END WAS THE BEGINNING
Long after the last human civilization vanished, the golden symbol continued to illuminate the darkness.
Somewhere beyond the boundaries of time, a new universe began to emerge.
New stars formed. New worlds appeared. New civilizations would eventually rise and look toward the heavens, searching for answers about their existence.
Perhaps they would discover the same symbol.
Perhaps they would build temples around it, create religions, and tell stories about forgotten gods.
And perhaps, somewhere beneath their oldest monuments, they would find the same warning:
Do not awaken what existed before creation.
But the warning would arrive too late.
For the Primordial One was never truly asleep.
It was waiting for its dream to end.
ALL THINGS EMERGE FROM THE VOID.
ALL THINGS SHALL RETURN.
