Need followers on X (Twitter)? You are not alone (hopefully)

OK so BudgetPixel rolled out the Content Creator Program and basically up the bar for people who wants free credits - you will need to have at least 10 followers on your X(Twitter) account now. Some of you, like myself, are not heavy social media users, and especially so on X (Twitter). I will admit that I created an account on X solely for ad hoc purposes, one of which is to work on BudgetPixel's affiliate tasks, which is to repost/quote BudgetPixel's posts on X (so as to promote them to a wider audience) and in return I get some free credits for doing so. From a business perspective, I get it, there is no point in rewarding people with ghost X (Twitter) accounts where you are literally promoting it to almost nobody. It is only fair that they want people with at least some social media footprints, so that they can market BudgetPixel to those do not know about it and is a potential new revenue stream. And to be honest, 10 followers is not a tall ask either. But it will also take some time and effort to get 10 generic followers to your account. So I hope to start this blog in an effort to find people like me (social media hermits who have less than 10 followers) and to add each other on X(Twitter). Hopefully we can scratch each other's back and continue to net those free credits. Please comment down down below with your X(Twitter) handle if you need help in getting followers. Do give some time for some inactive X users (like myself) to follow you back, or give us a friendly nudge on our pages if we do not response back. To me, starting from BP is basic because I'd like to do the affiliate program later. And I can use a search engine. What's hard is I don't know how they do stuff there. Almost every place does not show your posts when you have no followers and are new. The hard part is finding out how a place will show your posts. With TikTok and Insta, it's fairly easily -- you just have to find popular but not too popular hashtags and they show you how many people use that hashtag. But Insta does a shadow ban if you use the same set of hashtags all the time so you have to vary it. Insta has challenges put on by people with hashtags associated to the challenge. So it's easy to find other people posts doing the same challenge. People often follow each other if they do the same challenges. Twitter feels strange, kind of vague. Hashtags help a little but not much, But since people brought over QTs from Twitter to BP, I think the key will be find the people who do popular QTs and see if people follow each other or just do their own thing. I don't know the culture so I don't know what is common courtesy and what might get you in trouble. Archangeltara said she got banned after only 2 followers so I'm not sure what she did but I'd like to not do it. Also I think X folk do a lot of 1 or 2 letter comments and I only know what a few of those mean since people started doing them here. Google doesn't know them all either. So yeah, I feel pretty clueless as well as more than a little anxious. But I figure in a few months I won't be worried and I'll know more or I'll be banned for a stupid mistake. Hopefully not banned.

in BP, I went on every my page of the people on Sealine's list of QT. I clicked on their QT, then clicked on their name to check their MyPage. Under their MyPage profile, I checked to see if they had a Twitter link. Anyone who did, I clicked the link and followed them. Some of them have started following me back including you. Most of them would know my name from BP because they've done at least one of my QTs. The other thing I tried was I did a search for #AIart. I found this post saying post your image, get to know other AI artists. I saw it was a group so I joined the group first. Then I posted an image into the comments of that link and then liked and commented a few others who also posted. From there 2 people followed back. https://x.com/SupportMarkets/status/2054788421487612217 My general experience has been if you comment 10, you will get 1-2 comments back; if you comment 20, you may get 1 follow back. I think tho it's important if you're looking to gain followers to put up a few pictures of your own to show you do AI art. Twitter might be different tho as I saw some people only have reposts. I don't understand the repost thing but I think some people like being reposted and will follow you if you repost them? So if I did repost, I'd repost the other BP people as I think they are most likely to follow me. I don't know tho. I really don't understand repost culture -- the how or why and what's ok or not ok or if a like on a repost goes to the original person or the reposter -- so I avoid doing it.
