Should we be allowed to submit more than one entry for the daily challenge?

As creators, sometimes we think of more than one idea and it is tough to choose one over the other. "What if I submit the other entry instead? How would it measure up against the other entries?" We will never get to know, and often live with that regret, unless we run back the same theme again. This will boost the number of entries and also reduce the chances of seeing the same submission multiple times during the voting process, although I do understand that a submission should be seen more often to increase the accuracy of the ELO score. The rewards will also be scaled to how many entries you submitted. If you submit 2, then the rewards you won will be halved, and if we are allowed to submit even more, the rewards will be even lesser. So creators will also be forced to strategise about whether to submit the one that they believe would be the best , or just submit multiple entries to see how they fared, but if any of them won a reward it is only a fraction of it. Thanks @DavidP for sharing your thoughts. I think sometimes we just get curious over the reception of more than one image that the theme but are totally different in concepts. If I do 2 beautiful desert nomads, then I would agree that choosing one over the other is arbitrary, but let's say I have a totally different concept of looking a male nomad looking for a treasure with the map tattooed on his back, I might struggle to think which to submit, though the results so far almost always suggest the one with beautiful woman will win. Of course, there is still the QT to share the rejected ideas, but sometimes there is this curiosity of "what if" that lingers. The concern regarding that the challenge might be unfair can be easily addressed by cutting the reward earned for multiple entries you submit, as what I had suggested in the blog, and we can perhaps further cap it to 3 max. Anyway, it is just throwing out a thought and hoping to hear opinions from other creators like yourself. I do try to take the rankings less seriously and focus on the creations instead.

I can see how multiple different ideas could present a challenge. Personally I decided to purposefully just go with the first idea that I get, create an image, submit and move on. Consciously not trying to make an image that I think will do well. That way when I do invest time and thought, come up with something I think is a real winner and it finishes in the bottom third, I'll not have to cope with that.

@beastsg thanks for sharing your thoughts. I see many creators sharing that experience. That said, I think if you have two images, both high quality ie no wonkiness at all, and obviously illustrating the theme then the choice is pretty arbitrary. I say that as from experience the scoring is more luck than anything else. If you want to improve your chances of a high place then don't be too creative and original in your intrepretation of the theme. I think people pick what they expect to see when they view the theme. And I would not be in favour of more than one entry per person. You could end up seeing too many entries from the same person in your voting which I think would be unfair
