Ancient gnarled pine tree heavy with thick snow stands

About this image

A massive gnarled ancient pine bowed under thick drifts of fresh powdery snow dominates a serene sunlit alpine winter scene. Soft low golden sunlight rakes across smooth undisturbed snowdrifts, highlighting crisp white frost on every bough against a pale clear blue sky. The mood is quiet, peaceful and ethereal, with a distant snow-covered treeline and hazy mountain peaks on the horizon.
