About this image
An anime-style illustration of a stylish couple dancing closely in a warm, smoky bar setting. The woman wears a shiny copper dress that twirls as they move, while the older man in a dark suit leads with a calm, serious expression; vintage lighting, a small stage area, and a retro speaker add to the moody nightlife vibe.

Wow! Very cool sound. Love the image. It brings to mind the Japanese movie Shall We Dansu? (Gere's remake didn't capture the charm and heart of the original). A successful corporate worker, in a world where everyone tries to be as cookie cutter as possible and hide their true feelings until they feel muted, takes a ballroom dance class secretly. In his world, if people found out he danced, he would not fit the corporate structure and he would not get any further promotions. He finds he has a passion for dance which ignites his passion for life. The teacher who had lost her love for dancing finds it retriggered by her student. It's about taking a small, even secret step, to try something new and discovering something you love doing. Anyways I feel like that moment of discovery, that the the older man is a very good dancer and the young woman has just realized she loves dancing and it surprises her. So I felt like there's a whole story in this image. Cool.
@Hephzibah Oh, you were in Japan? Me too but I taught English conversation. Yeah, that's why in the Japanese movie there was more tension -- by taking dance, they were putting their lives at risk. There's a lot of pressure to conform in Japan. The Gere movie didn't have that tension because in the USA, the "pursuit of happiness" is written into our constitution. It's seen as admirable to try something new and do something different. So that fear of getting caught is not quite the same. Did you learn to speak Japanese? I picked up a few phrases but never learned to speak. My audio memory sucks. I'm better at visuals.
really, I'll try to find it :) When I was there ballroom dancing was a very $$$ activity full of retired souls. They took a lot of personal risk trying to tango with a tall beginner gaijin. hhhhhhh Thanks Cayla

Love the image, great style. And loving this song, fabulous arrangement.
I suck at language very much, so very badly at the time and less now. The english language teachers were a blast, they had a conference in our town, amazing :) :) :)
